WATCH: PUT6 TEAMS UP WITH NAVY SEALS, GREEN BERETS, AND ORGANIZATIONS TO DEPLOY SMART REEFS IN SC

FROM BRIAN:

This past weekend I was in Charleston, SC teaming-up with some incredible people, all to conserve our world's oceans, specifically right here in our "back yard." The effort was led by my friend Tom Mullikin and South Carolina 7, and it was a massive display of cross-organizational team-work, including participation from folks like Force Blue, 56 Brave, and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (among many others). You might remember, Force Blue team member Steve "Gonzo" Gonzalez has been on the podcast. We were up-and-out on the water Saturday morning, having launched from the USS Yorktown, with the goal of deploying an artificial reef that was designed and engineered by students from Coastal Carolina. Needless to say, it was an awesome experience to be part of the team that was made up of those great organizations as well as badasses from the Special Forces community, including former Green Berets, Navy SEALs, the Special Forces Association Parachute Team, and more! I flipped a quick sizzle-reel video first thing Sunday morning, and I hope you'll check it out to see more from our expedition:

I shot every piece of content in that video, minus a few shots of the guys up in the bird. Thanks to my friends at Force Blue for sharing that specific GoPro video.

I also shot some pretty cool drone video of that parachute team landing on the USS Yorktown on Saturday morning:

I owe a huge thanks to Tom Mullikin and the entire team for inviting us to come down and be part of the entire weekend. I am proud of the stories that we've been telling here at PICK UP THE SIX, and I love when we can bring you along for the journey. Teaming up with organizations like this to help amplify what they're doing is a sweet spot for our growing production platform. Holler if you see an opportunity for collaboration in the future with anything you're working on or passionate about.
