The 100th Bomb Group was heavily involved in some of the deadliest missions of World War II, and some of the bloodies military campaigns in aviation history.
There for 25 of those missions as a B-17 pilot was John "Lucky" Luckadoo.
The new book (out today), authored by Kevin Maurer, is called DAMN Lucky: One Man’s Courage During the Bloodiest Military Campaign in Aviation History.
